Collection description: Amazonas is an Amazonian department of Peru, located in the north of the country. The vast and deep Marañón valley is partially located in Amazonas, and constitutes one of the most important physical features of the region. With a tropical landscape that includes steep river gorges and mountains, most of the department is still a part of the rainforest, an integral part of its main economic activity: agriculture. The most important crops in Amazonas are coffee, rice, cacao, and a variety of regional fruit trees.

As they are in Australia, Atypic uses pacific islands cocoa beans and local ingredients to support the Australian economy. Charles and Chi visit the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu cocoa plantations to choose cocoa beans from the farm directly each year; with plans to expand to Papua New Guinea.
