The word Q’uma comes from Q’umara, the native language from the people of the Peruvian rainforest which means ‘healthy’. Q’uma Chocolate believes this describes their commitment to use only the finest, organic and delicious ingredients in their chocolate. Q’uma minimally processes their chocolate in order to preserve the fruity aromas from the Criollo bean. Their bars only contain four ingredients, never use any artificial flavors and use of non-GMO ingredients. This Peruvian organic chocolate maker, is one of the few makers who produce chocolate entirely in its origin. They carefully select their beans and work in small batches to focus and highlight on the cacao’s natural flavors.
