The absolute innovation of this product is the substitution of cane sugar with maple sugar, a precious ingredient with a sweetly refined taste obtained from the sap extracted from the Canadian maple plant.

Ingredients: cocoa paste, cocoa butter, maple sugar (5%). Cocoa min. 95%. May contain traces of hazelnuts, almonds, pistachios, walnuts and milk.

Can't believe it's 95%!

This is a delicious, smooth bar of chocolate with complex and layered flavors. I forgot it was 95% while eating it because it doesn't have much bitterness at all. The maple sugar really rounds it out and adds the perfect hint of sweetness and flavor. I would definitely get this bar again.

For being 95% cocoa it has a milder intensity compared to a typical 95% bar, good for beginners

The maple sugar makes all the difference in this bar. It lends the 95% cacao an excellent note of sweetness. Italian chocolate at its best.

It’s amazing what a tiny amount of sugar can do to bring out the flavors of chocolate. I really like this bar. A piece in the afternoon, a piece in the evening—it always satisfies my chocolate urge. I don’t detect licorice, but I definitely taste hints of spices. When I’m tempted by cookies or other sweets, I savor a piece (or two!) of this with a cup of tea, and I’m satisfied.

Amedei Acero (Maple Sugar) 95%

I think Criollo variety was a better choice in this case. By the way, the maple sugar is not perceptible. I prefer 100% dark chocolate with date pieces.
