Imagine wanting a nice, smoky Islay scotch but for whatever reason, you can't have one. You could either sneak one in and hope no one catches you or you could suffer without. Now, you don't have to worry about suffering or being caught. snack on one of these bars and you can enjoy the smokiness of an Islay scotch wherever you are without the consequences of actually drinking where you're not supposed to be. The scotch flavor does overpower the chocolate flavor in this bar but that's why I chose this bar. if you want a chocolate with a hint of whisky, this is not what you want. if you want a bar of scotch with a hint of chocolate, look no further. Not at all disappointed with this purchase and will absolutely be getting it again.
If you like peaty scotch, you will probably like this bar. My only complaint was that, for me at least, the whisky flavor outshined the chocolate. Still worth a try if you're a scotch fan.
I tried this bar on three separate occasions (just in case my palate wasn't getting it right) and ended up giving the remainder to a friend. The whisky wasn't at all subtle and felt more like a punishment than a flavoring. No idea what the chocolate itself tasted like as I couldn't separate it enough from the whisky. If you want whisky with a hint of chocolate, try the bar, but if you're looking for chocolate with a balance of whisky look elsewhere. It gets two stars as I didn't outright spit it out.

Chocolate Tree strives to protect the biodiversity of each cacao heirloom they work with by visiting each of the farms and connecting with those who they work with. Their process is very meticulously from each step to ensure high quality chocolate that as granted them multiple awards for their chocolate bars.
