The coast of Guadalcanal, nestled in the heart of the Solomon Islands, is home to some of the finest cocoa from this region. The cocoa trees grow in this rich volcanic soil, protected from the midday sun beneath high coconut palms. Their beans encapsulate a subtle cocoa flavor overlaid with delicate plum and citrus notes.

Maker

Firetree

Firetree Chocolate sources their beans from remote islands with rich volcanic soil for some very unique tasting chocolate. Their name firetree, is a nick name for the flame hued pods found on the cocoa trees that are found on these volcanic islands. Each bar is made with single estate cacao, lending to the incredibly distinct taste of each chocolate variety.

Cacao Region

Ben Tre, Vietnam

Ben Tre is a province in the Mekong Delta area of southern Vietnam, southwest of Ho Chi Minh City. During the Tet Offensive in 1968, Ben Tre City was nearly destroyed by anti-communist bombing, but the province has since recovered, now home to a strong tourism market due to its location along the Mekong Delta. Otherwise, much of the region's economy is based in rice production and tropical agriculture, including notable amounts of coconut and cacao.
