Cacao Region

Arauca, Colombia

With the exception of the westernmost region, most of Arauca state is comprised of plains, whose soil has shown to be good conditions for growing cacao, banana, cassava, rice, corn, and various other fruits. However, the main economic activity of Arauca is centered around the oil industry, with the state’s Caño Limón oil fields being the second-largest in the country. The name Arauca is believed to derive from the name of the Indigenous Arawak (Arhuaco in Spanish) people, whose descendants still inhabit several regions across Colombia, including much of Arauca state.

La Feverie Venezuela Chuao Ar. Dark Milk 60%

Good, Earthy Dark Chocolate

Deep, earthy aroma and flavor. Not too bitter but has some smoke. Smooth melt. Quite different from the other Arhuacos bar I had made by Castronovo. The magic of craft chocolate!

La Feverie Venezuela Chuao Ar. Dark Milk 60%

Lovely dark milk option. Aromatic, sweet with still a good chocolate background. I am curious to try their single origins too.
