These organic beans come from the coastal forest in the highlands located in the heart of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in Colombia. Hasnaâ took particular care in processing these beans to best reveal the sweet notes of spices, licorice and sesame.

With an ecosystem that stretches from Caribbean coral reefs to tropical rainforests and snow-capped mountains. The Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta is a veritable sanctuary for a remarkable but endangered biodiversity. Unfortunately, deforestation, land seizure, intensive agriculture and the construction of hydroelectric dams pose a threat to fauna and flora and to water resources. The community of Arhuaco Indians lives in this national park. The protection of their land remains an essential struggle for them.

They have recently created a political movement to protect their lands and forests , through an ambitious plan: to return 70% of their land to nature, in order to protect and regenerate the natural resources present there and to cultivate more easily sustainable development of cocoa, coffee and subsistence products on the remaining space.

Hasnaâ Chocolats

La Fèverie by Hasnaâ Chocolats is the bean to bar chocolate line from are born of one young couple’s all-consuming passion for cocoa. It is a passion that led Hasnaâ Ferreira to change careers and become a chocolatier and confectionary maker.  Hasnaâ studied under a series of Meilleurs Ouvriers de France chocolatiers (Serge Granger, Bruno Le Derf, Philippe Parc and Pascal Brunstein, to name but a few). Situated on rue Fondaudège in Bordeaux, “La Fèverie” is Hasnaâ Chocolats Grands Crus’ Bean to Bar workshop. Beans for their chocolate are carefully selected for their aroma and flavor. Hasnaâ being a staunch purist, the La Fèverie chocolate bars is only two ingredients - no added flavors or any added cocoa butter.

Sierra Nevada, Colombia

The Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta is a Colombian mountain range just 50 miles from the Venezuelan border. The region is popular with visitors, in part thanks to the development of cultural tourism infrastructure centered around the indigenous Arhuaco peoples. Cacao from the Sierra Nevada region has become particularly famous thanks to farmers’ high degree of technical expertise— they’re even running their own pollination trials to improve quality and yields.
