The Kerta Semaya Samaniya ("KSS") cooperative is located in Jembrana, West Bali.
It was founded in 2006 and supports over 600 farmers in the region that are organized under 38 farming groups. Gender equality is a major focus for KSS with female-led training on good agricultural practices and post-harvesting processing has helped increase their self-confidence as well the ability to train other female farmers across the farmer groups.
This cocoa is Organic EU/USDA, Rainforest Alliance certified.
Metiisto started life in the heart of Sweden back in 2012. In 2018 they relocated to Toowoomba, Australia and discovered the amazing cocoa of the Pacific islands.
They use a blend of old world techniques and new world ideas to craft fine chocolate from the cocoa bean to the finished bar and beyond.
