Rozsavolgyi Csokolade

Rózsavölgyi Csokoládé is a craft bean to bar chocolate maker in Budapest, Hungary. The husband and wife team Zsolt and Katalin Csiszar, primarily source their cocoa beans from Akesson's Madagascar farms and Franceschi's Venezuelan farms. Many of their inclusion bars use local Hungarian ingredients.

Cacao Strain

Porcelana

Porcelana; the name is Spanish for “porcelain,” a reference to the stark white color of the seeds borne in their small, pale green pods. Porcelana is one of the cultivars of the the Criollo group. Porcelana is perhaps one of the best-known ultra-rare cacao varietals, only grown in a small region of Venezuela and Colombia. It’s become one of the most prized and expensive cacaos in the world thanks to its near complete lack of bitterness and delicate chocolaty flavor.

Good but not worth it.

As always, stunning packaging from Rózsavölgyi Csokoládé. The bar is a shiny, deep brown with a great snap. The taste reminds me of peanut butter cups. As far as I know, there are no peanuts in it. It is rather acidic. That all being said I was expecting a more "wowing" taste, especially considering the price. I would say to skip it as you can get better bars cheaper.
