When does my chocolate ship?

Store Purchases
Orders ship on business days Monday thru Thursday to prevent melt. We monitor weather and transit time to determine when we can ship, to ensure the chocolate arrives to you safely.

Club Subscribers
Bar & Cocoa subscriptions ship early in the second week of every month. Every shipment should arrive by the end of the same week. The cut off date is the 28th. (But chat us up, we can often accommodate a few late orders!)

Subscription ordered: January 27th
First box shipped: Second Monday or Tuesday of February

Subscription ordered: February 5th
First box shipped: Second Monday or Tuesday of March

How do you ship the chocolate?

At Bar & Cocoa we use USPS First Class, or Priority Mail for all domestic shipments. USPS delivers anywhere in the United States within 3-5 days, with most packages arriving within 2 days. Bar & Cocoa is not responsible for delays resulting from mishandling by the shipping carrier. We reserve the right to change shipping methods at any time without notice.

What About Canada & Internationally?

The club subscription is only available in the United States at this time. For store orders, we ship to over 220 countries usually via DHL Express. Shipping cost is dynamic, and calculated at checkout based on the total weight.

International Orders

We love shipping chocolate to all around the world. Because of the costs associated with shipping internationally, all international orders are final sale. Please review your country's international custom and duties as are not responsible for the payment of those fees.

Where Can I Find My Tracking Number?

Tracking numbers are emailed to you upon shipment. When in doubt, check your email or your store account. If you can't find it, we can resend it to you. Contact us using the form below or call (843) 732-4350.

How we package your chocolate.

Bar & Cocoa utilizes different types of packaging depending on the time of year to best protect the chocolate bars during shipping. We review temperatures between origin and destination to determine the most effective packaging. We use minimal packaging material and use recycled/recyclable materials whenever possible. (We refuse to use Styrofoam.) It helps if you keep an eye out on delivery days and bring in your package as soon as possible.

Refunds & Returns Information

While we make  chocolate arrives in perfect condition, however mailing chocolate in warm weather comes with risk. If for whatever reason you get a package with melted chocolate, send us a picture of the melt to info[at] within 24 hours of arrival. We will either refund your money, or replace your chocolate (depending on stock), or in the case of a subscription, add a free month - your choice!

Unfortunately, we do not accept returns. Chocolates are not refundable since they are a food item. However if you are unhappy for any reason, please email us within 14 days of receipt of your order at info[at] or call (843) 732-4350 and we'll do what we can to make it right.
