While "ceremonial cacao" may mean different things to different people, in this context cacao is used as a (sometimes daily) ritual that can elevate mood and be a conduit for opening the heart. All of the ceremonial cacaos below are lightly roasted and contain no sweetener or flavorings. Unlike many 100% bars, there is no added cocoa butter or lecithin, and often the cacao paste is not refined or tempered like chocolate.
