This bar really does taste like carrot cake. The spices are well balanced, and the lemon and dairy bring a cream cheese frosting like note. Yum!
I've always been upset with my not being good at detecting flavors in chocolate, but I have to say, I was able to taste the nuttiness of this one. It starts with an intense dark chocolate flavor, and ends with the nutty flavor. It is not sweet nor too bitter.
In terms of texture, I had to bite into it, it didn't really melt. That's not a bad thing as I enjoyed the slightly chalky feel to it. I also love the nice snap it makes when you divide the chocolate into squares.
Excellent hazelnut flavor! Nuts were fresh and milk chocolate was perfect. Reminded us of gianduja we get while traveling in Italy.
Pump Street's Ecuador dark milk 60% is my second favorite Pump Street bar, so when I saw this Father Christmas figure available last year, I couldn't resist getting it. On top of being delicious, it looked great placed under the tree!
The packaging seems to be different this year, so it is definitely something we will start collecting year after year.
