I wanted something really special for decorating my most recent birthday cake (delightfully decadent chocolate mousse cake from the local fancy grocery store) and these little beauties were absolutely perfect- they gave both whimsy and an extra oomph of deliciousness. Expensive- absolutely, would I get them again? For a really special occasion, yes!
The blueberry comes through as the chocolate melts in your mouth. Absolutely fantastic flavor and consistency. Addicting!
A bright and gorgeous chocolate dripping with the juices of ripe blood orange, granadilla, honey, and plum skin. This is Peruvian chocolate killing it in a hot pink sundress.
An elixir of rose petals, orris, golden amber, and Assam tea leaves. Musky, earthy, and very bitter, yes, but emanating waves of sweetness in the dark. Stunning.
To taste this chocolate is to put a piece of a flaming lamborghini in your mouth. The burnt edges of the muscovado sugar advance gradually upon the reservoir of what begins as a dark red wine. At a certain high point, the torch comes out and the wine ignites into a VSOP cognac (or amber rice wine, perhaps, in the local context). Applause everywhere.
