Cacaoteca is a tree to bar chocolate maker from Miches, Dominican Republic. Back in 2015, owner Coral was surprised by the exceptional taste of Dominican cacao. She realized that Dominican cacao is considered some of the best in the world, there weren’t any chocolate makers in the Dominican Republic taking advantage of its amazing crop! Using locally sourced cacao beans that are only a short few hours away from Cacaoteca’s location, it has a positive impact on the Dominican economy, since cacao is mostly exported. Cacaoteca works directly with its farmers, and train the farmers how to dry the beans ensuring top quality. Cacaoteca also provides fair pay for the high quality cacao and showcase the flavors of Dominican cacao.

Maybe wrong chocolate

So this tasted INCREDIBLE for a 100% dark chocolate, super sweet and grainy like there was sugar in it... I believe there may not have been a 100% dark in the package by mistake. However if it was indeed the correct 100% bar, then its the best 100% bar to exist.

It will shock you that this has no sugar. Its truly out of this world. I buy multiple of them and they are ADDICTING! Its healthy, has no sugar and tastes incredible.

I do not say this lightly- its a PERFECT bar. And I buy multiple each time. They don't last long!

my husband is crazy about this bar. it is a little too sweet for me for a 100% but if i was craving a lower % i would go for this.

But some other 100% are a little more flavorful. Both good. Please do not clutter my in box and mind with anything that is not 100%. You have staff to screen based on past orders. I do not. Thanks for doing screening on your end or send. Please.

Excellent 100% Dominican bar

Notes detected on first taste: liquorice, tropical fruits, fudge. This is a sweet and decadent 100% bar. Had I tasted it blind, I might have put it at 92% or 95%. This would pair excellently with a stronger dessert wine. It hits you like a hammer, but it is a great bar nonetheless.
