Their European style drinking chocolate, made from single origin Colombian Arauca cacao, is rich, creamy and silky smooth. The chocolate has a round, full flavor profile with ripe stone fruit sweetness and a deep, nutty finish. The beans for this drinking chocolate come from the Arauca River Basin on the border with Venezuela. The farm is owned and run by a second-generation cacao grower named Elizabeth Agudelo.

Directions: Heat 1/2 cup of milk in a saucepan until steaming. Add 1/4 cup of drinking chocolate and whisk until completely dissolved and frothy. Pour into a cup and enjoy. This can also be made with non dairy milk. Use cream for an intensely decadent experience.

Although Zulia is economically important to Venezuela due to its oil and mineral exploitation, it’s also one of the major agricultural regions of Venezuela, and contains historically-relevant trading ports.
