This cocoa, whose pods are porcelain-colored, is grown in the Maracaibo region. A chocolate with toasted aromas, then dried fruits complete the vegetable notes, to finish with a flavor of hot chocolate. At the time of the colonies, Porcelana cocoa was called Maracaibo, after the name of the eponymous port from which the beans were shipped. It was renamed Porcelana because of the "porcelain" appearance of its pods.

Maker
Chocolaterie A. MorinA Morin Chocolatiers are a 4th generation chocolate maker in Donzère, France. Chocolatiers from father to son since 1994, André Morin founded Chocolaterie A. Morin in 1958 to start making bean to bar chocolate. Since then, they have created artisan chocolate in accordance with chocolate making tradition. They have spent years cultivating relationships with their cocoa producers and farmers to create their line of single origin chocolate bars. They also cultivate over 15,000 acres of fruit and nut orchards to use as raw ingredients such as almonds, hazelnuts and cherries for their pralines, pastes, nougats and jams.

This is one of the better Venezuela bars I've had. It was a fun treat like milk duds, raisinettes, fudge and chocolate ice cream. I just wish they wouldn't use the lecithin.
Full of rich chocolate flavor.
Smoother than a lot, but not overdone. Has a very full flavor perfect for savoring
Porcelana is a great bean, rare but more available now. I used to enjoy Valhorna and Amadei but this one is smoother than both. It still retains the full or more flavor of the Porcelana beans (a little bit of the Pralus sourness and fermented flavor). I believe it's not too refined, full flavor and very smooth. Best Porcelana I've had. Bought out the store.
