"Nothing goes better with chocolate than citrus. Every time I taste the two together, it brings back childhood memories of the orange chocolate found during the holidays. This is a grown up version of the chocolate from my childhood. We make the chocolate with cocoa that we obtain directly from our farmers in Ecuador. We then combine it with tangerine, grapefruit and the oils from yuzu - an incredible citrus from Japan. Hence the name Melange à Trois. Amano Artisan ChocolateAmano is a small batch chocolate producer located in Orem, Utah. The founder Art Pollard seeks out unusual cacao beans, buying them directly from farms, and sometimes even working with the farmers to improve fermentation and drying. First hand control over the process ensures the best quality cacao to make the best chocolate possible. Amano has won many awards including International Chocolate Awards, Good Food Awards, London Academy of Chocolate, and more. When Pollard decided he wanted to tackle the world of chocolate making, many people didn’t think it was possible. Amano has proven their dedication, by creating their own machines from scratch, and learning everything there is to learn about chocolate.
This bar has lovely tastes of tangerine, grapefruit, vanilla, lime, mild clove and light licorice. Definitely a bar I'd want to enjoy over the holidays.
