Wonderful cocoa, multiplicity of delicate perfumes, power and sensitivity. It will please the enlightened amateurs. Our family has been present in Venezuela for centuries and we have developed a very strong affinity with the historical cocoa production sites. Our visits to these original lands are always a learning experience for us, as we continue to search for the perfect taste, for rediscovered essence, ever closer to the chocolatier's ideal.

Maker
BonnatChocolat Bonnat is a French chocolate maker that started in 1884 and has been handed down the family for generations. Made in a traditional style, the single origin chocolate bars here are super rich from added cocoa butter, giving them all an amazing melt mouthfeel. Since the 1980's Bonnat has continued to pioneer the creation of single origin bars. They work with 35 different plantations around the globe to produce bars that showcase each cacao’s unique flavor. Bonnat works closely with each farmer, so he can see first hand each vital step that goes into his fine quality chocolate bars.
A dark and stormy chocolate tinted with molasses, dried currants, dark rum, and aromatics (notably cassia bark, tar, bitter almond). Who knows where the sacks of cocoa beans sat during their transit across the Atlantic?
Nuff said! 5/5
He loves this chocolate bar and is it dark chocolate connoisseur! He says it has subtle hints of floral notes.
Bitterswee chocolate. Delicate perfumes. Well balanced and really delicious.
This is my go-to bar for pairing with ruby ports! And the bar itself is delicious!
