Initially rich, a satisfying melt releases hints of sweet, juicy berries. Serendipitously for a Jamaican bar, it rounds into a distinctive honeyed rum finish.

Cacao Estate

Bachelor's Hall

The aptly-named Bachelor’s Hall Estate, owned and operated by Desmond Jadusingh, is located in southeastern Jamaica. Jadusingh took over the land that was once his grandfather's farm in 2002, quickly realizing that it was one of the most productive cocoa farms on the island. But after a few years of one natural disaster after another, he was strapped for cash and so did some research of his own, eventually leading to the overhaul of Jamaica’s fine flavor cocoa sector. These days, Bachelor’s Hall is one of the most famous cocoas in Jamaica, all with absolutely no use of fertilizer or chemicals of any kind.

Super tasty fun treat

I have not had many Jamaican bars and was very pleased with this one. I will be seeking out more Jamaica going forward. Well done Pump Street!

One of my favorite 75% bars

I agree with the review below - I was really impressed by this bar and it was completely unexpected, as I usually go for a higher cocoa percentage. It was my first pump street bar. While there were some fruity notes, they were quite subdued and rounded by a caramel-y and nutty note. It was very smooth and melted smoothly. I would definitely purchase this bar again.

Pump Street Jamaica Bachelor's Hall Estate 75%

Firstly the packaging is delightful and I adore the fact that it is compostable. Secondly, this bar blew my socks off a bit. The bar mold is very traditionally English - lovely thick pieces. Berry notes burst though as soon as you pop it into your mouth, along with an earthy-tobacco hit then nuts, cream and a dark honey finish. Epically delectable. People of Pump Street you saucy minxes, your chocolate speaks to my soul.
