One of the most ancestral varieties of cocoa world. Very sweet on the palate, floral aroma, notes of hazelnuts and pecans with a very fruity finish subtle. This cocoa is so unique that it can be tasted even in 100% cocoa black chocolate, which we offer to our most purist customers.

Maker

Qantu

Qantu is a chocolate maker based in Montreal. Qantu was started by Elfi and Maxime in 2016. This pair fell in love with bean to bar chocolate after researching cocoa after their first plantation visit in 2014. The immense passion and pride of the cocoa producers inspired them to create bean to bar chocolate. Qantu focuses on Peruvian cacao for the moment, which is where Maxime and Elfi met over a decade ago in Elfi’s home country. The name “ Qantu” (pronounced “Kantu”) derives from the name of the national flower of Peru and Bolivia. The word comes from the native language of the Peruvian Andes, Quechua, it represents a symbol of unity and hospitality.

Happy in TN

Great as the other three award winning Quantu bars.. they are similar in their smoothness but each has very defined notes and after tastes. Having bought all four to do a tasting I did find each one unique and delightful. They are really worth buying together for a tasting or gift as you can't miss with these four award winners

Some of the best

This is easily some of the best chocolate I've had. I purchased it after greatly enjoying the Qantu Morropon and the Chuncho is on par, if not better. Deep and complex flavor, highly recommended.

Another winner from Qantu

Qantu is consistently one of my favorite makers. This bar opens with a fruity jammyness leaning towards apricot with hints of hazel nut and floral undertones. It finishes with a touch of citrus. And of course, the trademark Qantu creamy texture throughout.

I keep coming back to this one.

I think this chocolate bar is absolute perfection. It is everything you want in a truly gourmet chocolate bar.
