Firetree Chocolate sources their beans from remote islands with rich volcanic soil for some very unique tasting chocolate. Their name firetree, is a nick name for the flame hued pods found on the cocoa trees that are found on these volcanic islands. Each bar is made with single estate cacao, lending to the incredibly distinct taste of each chocolate variety.

Sambirano Valley, Madagascar

Perhaps the most famous growing region in the world, northern Madagascar's Sambirano Valley is known for its incredibly fruity cacao and aromatic herbs & spices. Over the past few decades three main plantations have popped up in the area to supply cacao to chocolate makers around the world, as well as some of the world's most valuable botanicals, namely vanilla, ylang-ylang, and essential oil extracts.

Fantastic

I am a big dark chocolate fan not only for the taste but for the health benefits also. Firetree is some of the best tasting dark chocolate I have ever purchased. Love it.

This 84% chocolate is very smooth, with a nice melt. The flavor is very strong, with raspberry notes, but a slight sour finish.
