FiretreeFiretree Chocolate is dedicated to crafting rare, single estate chocolate with a true sense of place. They source their cocoa from small, remote volcanic islands in the South Pacific and Madagascar, where the mineral-rich soil creates some of the most distinctive taste notes in the world. The name “Firetree” comes from the cocoa tree’s flame-colored pods, and from its base in Cambridgeshire, England, the company follows a meticulous bean-to-bar process to preserve each origin’s character. Committed to fairness and sustainability, Firetree works directly with farmers or their co-ops, paying premiums that support communities and protect landscapes.

Cacao Region
Makira Island, Solomon IslandsMakira (also known as San Cristobal) is a small island located east of Guadalcanal and south of Malaita, the two largest islands in the country. The region is perhaps best known for its extensive populations of threatened or endemic bird species, largely based in the tropical rainforest. The landscape is rugged, with steep-sided valleys, many streams and waterfalls, and the most inland swaps of any island in the nation. Most of the farmland is utilized by families to grow subsistence crops and a limited amount of typical cash crops, like cacao and banana.
