This chocolate bar is made with extremely rare cacao that grows spontaneously in different regions of the Amazon Rainforest (wild cacao) and is harvested by river-side communities that preserve the fruit's native trees. Each river represents a region with a different flavor profile.

Maker
Luisa AbramLuisa Abram is a bean to bar chocolate maker in Brazil. The maker Luisa, works with micro-lots of wild growing cocoa from the Amazon rain forest along the floodplains near riverside communities. Luisa has partnered with the locals to create job opportunities, help preserve native cacao and improve their quality of life. All the bars are made in small batches in Sao Paulo, with only two pure and organic ingredients: cocoa and sugar.
CChelsea Y.After hearing about the chocolate maker on “Obsessions: Wild Chocolate” podcast, I ordered a few Luisa Abrams dark chocolate bars as thank you gifts. While I didn’t get to try all the flavors, this Rio Cassiporé 81% in particular stood out to me. It had none of the forward bitterness of chocolate despite being very dark in nature, but was so rich and decadent, feeling like a healthy food to alight a long winter.
ddimitrios f.Very dark and deep chocolate taste, 2 small blocks of chocolate but worth the taste
