Mountains of the Moon

Mountains of the Moon cacao comes from nearly 1,000 small farmers on the slopes of Uganda's Rwenzori Mountains, named for the ancient geographic landmark. High altitude and volcanic soils create conditions for deeper, more complex cacao flavors. Farmers grow cacao under shade of native trees alongside coffee and vanilla, fermenting and sun-drying beans at local village centers. The collective preserves traditional methods while meeting global quality standards.
