Based in Vietnam, Belvie Chocolate is a bean to bar maker that handcrafts their chocolate bars with Belgian techniques. They source cacao from all over Vietnam, then stone grind and produce their chocolate in small batches. Their award winning chocolate also contributes to the preservation of cacao trees in Vietnam. They take the husks of the cacao as fertilizer for the trees to help maintain a green environment. Belvie uses Trinitario cacao beans only from local farmers to help restore cacao trees throughout Vietnam and mostly importantly, to help support the farmers.

A nice sample pack

First off, this chocolate is expertly tempered and has a great snap and shine! The bars don’t have as smooth of a mouthfeel, but each bar has unique tasting notes which makes it great for a tasting night or a gift.

Nice selection

Belvie makes such good chocolate this makes for a nice gift. The thin bars, however, feel less rich than their thicker full-size counterparts.
