Located on the abundant Mekong Delta in the Southern Vietnam, Ben Tre Provence produces a delicate cacao with notes of honeysuckle, fig and citrus. All of the Vietnamese origins we offer come from Marou Faiseurs De Chocolat. Like all Eigen Chocolates this bar is made with ethically traded cacao, sugar certified by the regenerative organic alliance, and compostable packaging.

Ben Tre, Vietnam

Ben Tre is a province in the Mekong Delta area of southern Vietnam, southwest of Ho Chi Minh City. During the Tet Offensive in 1968, Ben Tre City was nearly destroyed by anti-communist bombing, but the province has since recovered, now home to a strong tourism market due to its location along the Mekong Delta. Otherwise, much of the region's economy is based in rice production and tropical agriculture, including notable amounts of coconut and cacao.
