Several years ago I was gifted a 6 month subscription to Bar and Cocoa. Recently I purchased a box of 5 dark chocolate bars. Every chocolate bar I have had is velvety smooth, high quality chocolate. Can't wait to try more and discover different producers.
Being new to craft/high end chocolate, it was nice to buy a pre-selected package and not have to do a bunch of research. Sometimes the research is fun, but sometimes you just want the pros to tell you what to get.
Given that I was looking for bars bought in Japan that had a grainy texture which these don’t, and that I’d prefer dark chocolate between 80-90%, these came as close to perfect as possible; nice variety from regions with flavorful beans.
I was very excited to receive my free made at origin bundle after earning enough reward points. They did not disappoint, we had some excellent dark chocolate bars in here and I've thoroughly enjoyed them all.

For my first order, I was quite overwhelmed by all the bean to bar varieties and had no idea where to start, so I started here with a milk variety. Note that the milk variety can also include dark milk like 50% or high cocao content (for comparison, Hershey's Special Dark is 45%). So if you aren't used to a rich bar or bold flavors, you're better off picking the bars yourself. That said, my husband despises dark chocolate, but enjoyed all 5 bars we got.
If you price out the bars, they are at least or more expensive than this variety pack. It's a great way to start with bean to bar chocolate and figure out producers and flavors you like.
Whether you are new to fine chocolate or experienced, this will delight.
I received the milk chocolate bundle and it was marvelous! There were 5 full size bars, each with a unique taste because of the origin of the cocao. I found a new favorite, Marana Chocolate from Peru.
I ordered this because I'm new to bean to bar chocolate. I couldn't decide on what to get, so this was an easy way to get started. I'm now more confident in what to pick based on the flavor notes and other reviews.

Good variety but I didn’t really realize the anything goes bundle contains only flavored chocolates.. wish I had gone with the dark chocolate bundle
