Maker

20/20 Chocolate

20/20 is a family owned craft tree to bar chocolate maker from Venezuela. 20/20 refers to the degrees from the equator that encompasses much of Venezuela, where the magic happens. This is portrayed in the chocolate bar design, where the hole is the earth, and the strip that crosses it is the cacao belt. The Esteves family, started crafting artisan chocolate bars in their home in2017, and moved to a facility in 2019. Their emphasis is to promote the origins of Venezuela and its high-quality cacao genetics. In the past year they have planted over sixty thousand trees in their farms, including Hacienda Luna Clara, and their goal is to keep growing and provide chocolate fans with the best quality bars made with sustainable Venezuelan cacao.

Cacao Region

Yaracuy, Venezuela

Yaracuy is a mountainous region in northwestern Venezuela, with both the end of the Andes Range and the beginning of the Coastal Range within its limits. The economy of Yaracuy is mostly agricultural, focusing on sugar cane, corn, cattle raising, and some cacao, as well as a number of agribusinesses in the small cities of the valley.
