Coffee and chocolate; a pairing made in heaven—or in this case, Chocolarder's factory in Falmouth!

On the hunt for naturally-dairy-free chocolate, and off the back of our hugely popular sail-shipped mocha truffles, they’re bringing the mocha chocolate back in their new packaging.

They’ve sourced coffee from their wonderful friends at Monmouth Coffee Company in London. They’re committed to sourcing and roasting the very best coffee, while always keeping sustainability in mind.

Both the coffee and chocolate in these truffles come from Costa Rica (not the same farm as they grow at different altitudes) and they’re very happy to pair Maleku chocolate, from the Upala region, with Finca Telia – Herbazú coffee, from Lourdes de Naranjo.

Chocolarder is a small-batch, bean-to-bar chocolate maker in Cornwall, UK, founded by former pastry chef Mike Longman in 2012. Chocolarder calls its approach “ethical transparency”: it buys cacao on a direct trade model and builds working relationships with the farmers it sources from, so growers are recognized for their work. Recipes keep ingredients short, and the chocolate is stone ground.

Family loved them!

I sent these truffles and the milk and cookies ones to my sister and her family as a Thank You gift. My sister loves chocolate truffles so I tried these out. They loved them and said that both were delicious. My sister’s favorite was the mocha truffles and the kids loved the milk and cookies. They enjoyed them so much that my husband and I are planning to order some for ourselves, and we will also order them as Thank You gifts for others in the future.
