I thought I ordered a boxed selection of chocolates ...and a bar of the Marzipan, for my sister's birthday. What I received was a lovely Bar and Cocoa gift box with ONE bar of the Marzipan in it...THAT was disappointing!! My sister is a Chef and a fan of another chocolate brand, but she LOVED the Marzipan bar..I called to speak with a company rep. and was told The Gift Box and a bar of the Marzipan bar is what I ordered... I just didn't realize a GIFT BOX meant an EMPTY box..... I will order more of the Mazipan bars, because frankly, I don't remember what I "thought" I ordered along with the Marzipan bar!! Trouble with a capital T

This bar is ridiculously delicious. It smells like a cherry cordial and tastes like heaven — if heaven were made of a very smooth, not at all bitter dark chocolate; subtle but definitely creamier than typical marzipan; and a mighty splash of actual cherry brandy, not kirsch with its hallmark hint of bitterness. Not appropriate for the faint of heart… or teetotalers!

Satisfying and sophisticated dark chocolate

I loved this combination of kirsch and marzipan. I hope this chocolate bar is going to be available beyond the Christmas season. I wish though that it had a substitute for the added refined sugar, to make it a healthier bar.
