Chocolat Bonnat is a French chocolate maker that started in 1884 and has been handed down the family for generations. Made in a traditional style, the single origin chocolate bars here are super rich from added cocoa butter, giving them all an amazing melt mouthfeel. Since the 1980's Bonnat has continued to pioneer the creation of single origin bars. They work with 35 different plantations around the globe to produce bars that showcase each cacao’s unique flavor. Bonnat works closely with each farmer, so he can see first hand each vital step that goes into his fine quality chocolate bars.

Chiapas, Mexico

Chiapas is the southernmost state in Mexico, bordering several Guatemalan states & the Pacific Ocean to the south. The state is generally tropical, but thanks to the convergence of land and sea, it's home to several microclimates, including deep valleys, mountainous cloud forests, and beautiful beaches. Chiapas is also notable for being home to one of the largest indigenous populations in the country, as the ancestral home of several distinct indigenous Mayan groups, most of whom depend upon agriculture to survive.

Perfectly smooth and creamy. Easy to get carried away and eat too much! This is one I will be going out of my way to buy again

A perfect chocolate bar

It just melts in your mouth! Perfectly cacao-y, sweetened chocolate bar. I love the thickness & the single bite sizes. I was worried that it would be too fruity, as that is what is noted in the description, but it’s not. It’s just a perfect everyday bar that I want to eat with my afternoon coffee.

Bonnat is the Best

I first tried Bonnat at Salon du Chocolat in Paris some years ago. Their chocolates have a creaminess that I’ve not tasted in many others. I’ve never had a Bonnat tablette I haven’t like.

Comforting

While not as flavorful or aromatic as Criollo cacao, this bar makes up for that with sheer, silken creaminess... an incredible mouthfeel. Very delicious and satisfying. IMHO, a dark chocolate that you can indulge yourself in, as it is quite reasonably priced.
