Made using Cornish sea salt and fresh Cornish cream, this soft salt caramel truffle is hand-dipped in Asháninka 72% dark chocolate and rolled in Chocolarders' pressed cocoa powder. The flakes of sea salt help keep the sweetness of the rich caramel in check, while its smooth texture is complemented by the thick chocolate shell. These popular truffles are entirely made in their workshop in Cornwall from little more than cocoa beans, sugar and cream. 12 pieces in each box.

Chocolarder is a small batch chocolate maker in Cornwall, UK. The founder Mike Longman, a former pastry chef has made award winning single origin bars since 2012. Chocolarder believes in the ‘ethical transparency’, which starts right at bean to bar. Longman ensures to build meaningful relationships with the farmers with the direct trade model to make sure farmers are being recognized for their hard work. Chocolarder picks only the finest beans to be produced into the chocolate bars. Chocolarder also believes that less is more with ingredients providing a top quality organic experience with health benefits as well.

An indulgent treat

A treat to be savored---we restrained ourselves to one a day so as to prolong the enjoyment. The chocolate shell is a bit too big for my smallish mouth, but once it started melting, the dark chocolate was pleasurable, its mild bitterness complementing the sweet caramel center. I only wish the proportion of chocolate to caramel were a bit more equal.

Tasty, fancy treat

I don't know that I'd continue to get these again and again--I like to try new ones-- but I would definitely consider this as a great gift idea. Enjoyed the packaging as well

Not disappointing

These had a delicious flavor, but the chocolate shell was VERY hard and broke apart after biting, so we ended up popping whole ones into our mouths instead of taking bites to make it last.

Yummy drops of goodness!

These were so delicious! The Carmel flowed out like a golden sea of goodness! The slightly ,less sweet chocolate on the outside , mixed together in my mouth like a creamy mouth watering treat!

Great but no cocoa

I’m giving 5 stars because the chocolate, and especially the soft salted Carmel, are excellent. But mine were shiny chocolate balls, absolutely no cocoa powder anywhere.

Sweet/salty decadence

If they sound good to you, go for it. Very nice light style (non chewy) caramel wrapped in dark chocolate.
