It had been a long time since I last tried Domori... While the flavor profile is quite interesting, there are a few technical imperfections worth noting.
The back of the bar showed slight opacity, which suggests minor tempering issues.
As for the flavor, the aromatic profile leans into dark, earthy notes. Tobacco, walnuts, and mushrooms dominate, accompanied by dark caramel and hints of dried fruits like dates. There's also a subtle fruity touch reminiscent of purple berries like blackberries.
At first, the taste is not entirely convincing, but it builds gradually, becoming more intense mid-palate and toward the finish. However, the aftertaste is a bit underwhelming: it fades quickly, leaving a dry sensation with lingering hints of mushrooms and walnuts. While the bar has some strong points, the short finish and dryness detract from the overall experience.
This bar caters to specific tastes, especially for those who enjoy darker, earthy profiles, but it left me feeling a bit uncertain overall.
